Bachelor Assignment

DEVELOPING A GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR A UNIVERSAL DRONE DOCKING SYSTEM TO AID INSPECTION USE-CASES

Client: Nest-Fly Technologies

2022

Nest-Fly Technologies is developing a universal Drone-Docking System. This is a box in which a drone is able to land, charge and be protected from the environment. Using this box, the drone is always ready for the next mission.

Nest-Fly  was looking into the future of the technology. What was the potential this technology holds? And how will this technology be used?

This resulted in the title of my bachelor assignment:

Developing a graphical user interface for a universal drone docking system to aid inspection use-cases.

From this a Computer Interface was created, based upon the idea of sharing scooters, through which everyone is able to order a drone for their specific use case. This makes the technology available for more people and companies, without the extra cost of buying and operating a drone. The drone itself flies to the locations autonomously to take videos, photos or make scans. After which the drone will fly back and to the drone-docking station to recharge and store itself. Next to the Computer Interface, I also created a demo to showcase the impacts of the technology.

The bachelor assignment was eventually rewarded with the Graduation Award of Creative Technology 2022. And was graded with a 9.2!
